Welcome to The Baybery. The restaurant is housed in a 120 year old building in the colourful fishing village of Union Hall on stunning Glandore Bay in West Cork. Serving an eclectic mix of Mediterranean style fresh seafood, pastas and local organic produce with an occasional Asian flair, the chef will be happy to cater to any special dietary requirements.
Originally a pub, the property was fully refurbished and restored as "The Lonesome Boatman" restaurant in 1996. The Old Shopfront has been replaced by one made of Irish Elm. The hand etched glass that adorns the front of the building and the booths inside are the work of local artist, Frank Maher. The restaurant's interior boasts an open fireplace, floors of local slate and specially commissioned slate tables, each bearing a unique Celtic Rune design.
The Baybery is open year round offering the finest foods and service. During the Autumn and Winter months we are hosts to a series of wine tastings, cigar evenings and theme nights. These events are by invitation, should you wish to be included on our mailing list, please contact us at our e-mail address.
We offer a Full Bar License, Early Evening Menu and an a la carte Sunday Brunch. The Baybery staff are highly knowledgeable should you desire guidance in your selection of food or wine and if we can personally be of any service to you, please do not hesitate to ask for us.
Should you require Accommodation, we would be pleased to recommend arrangements for you in the area -- simply inquire when making your dinner reservation. *
Now as each dish is freshly prepared for you, we invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy
yourself. . .
